The Cottage
Cedar Cottage is well furnished and equipped with all you need for a perfect holiday. The open-plan kitchen has plenty of space for family or friends to cook and enjoy the best of local produce. There are all the gadgets, pots and pans, glasses and crockery you need, while the dining table in the living room overlooks green croft land. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa and armchairs to relax and appreciate the views or watch TV and any DVDs you might bring with you. Books and games are provided, plus local information, maps and a radio/CD player. There is a pay phone, as mobile phone reception is variable in this part of the island. Orange works well here, but signal strength can vary due to the effect of the tides!
One bedroom has a double bed while the other has a single bed and bunks. Both have plenty wardrobe and drawer space. Bed linen is provided. A peaceful night’s sleep is assured in this quiet secluded setting.
The bathroom has an over-bath shower. Towels are provided. There is a shaver socket.
The cottage is heated throughout by night storage heaters, plus a traditional-style stove in the sitting room. Electricity is included in the weekly charge.
The spacious front porch/utility area holds a washing machine, tumble drier, deep freeze and lots of space for hanging outdoor jackets and removing muddy footwear. It’s an ideal place for visiting pets to stay. We even provide a shrimping net and bucket to make the most of the beach!
There are three steps up to the front door and two steps up to the patio doors. The cottage has its own access off the township road and there is ample parking space for two cars.
